Vice President, California Design:
Innovate and Lead in Water/Wastewater Excellence
We are seeking a visionary executive to lead and expand our California wastewater design business. If you have a proven record in managing the design of wastewater treatment plants, this is your opportunity to craft a winning model and elevate our team. You will engage with clients, spearhead new opportunities, and oversee projects from inception to completion. Your leadership will strengthen relationships with key California water agencies, leveraging our legacy of quality and innovation.
Location:
Pasadena, California (hybrid work). Security Clearance Requirement:
None. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
— Lead the growth and strategic direction of the California wastewater design practice.
— Build and sustain relationships with state agencies, municipalities, and subconsultants.
— Oversee project teams to deliver high‑quality design and construction services.
— Drive business development, sales, and profitability while managing project performance.
— Mentor and develop technical talent across multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications- Education
: B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field). - Experience
: 15+ years in municipal water and wastewater treatment plant design. - Project Leadership
:
Managed design/project management of at least two wastewater treatment plants with values exceeding $100 million. - Network
:
Strong connections with regional and local clients and subconsultants. - Certification
:
Registered Professional Engineer in California. - Technical Expertise
:
Familiarity with cutting‑edge technologies such as M processes. - Leadership
:
Ability to recruit, mentor, and develop top technical talent.

:
Established relationships and experience within the state. - Business Acumen
:
Effective seller‑doer, balancing business development with project management to drive profitable growth.
