We are seeking an Experienced Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards. From interpreting blueprints to inspecting complex aerospace components, your expertise will help us maintain our legacy of excellence. You’ll also contribute to quoting new projects and assist in implementing our E2 MRP system.
Key Responsibilities- Perform First Article Inspections per AS9100 Rev. D standards.
- Complete PPAP and PFMEA documentation for new orders when required.
- Manage Net-Inspect requirements for customer compliance.
- Prepare competitive bids for new and repeat RFQs, including complex machined assemblies and spin-formed parts.
- Inspect finished and in-process products, ensuring alignment with blueprint specifications.
- Collaborate daily with Production and Operations Managers to track parts in process.
- Proven experience in Aerospace Manufacturing with a strong quality focus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and solid mathematical skills.
- Detail-oriented with a results-driven mindset.
- Familiarity with E2 or similar ERP systems.
- AS9100 Rev. D internal audit experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes:
- Metal spinning
- CNC machining
- Manual mills & lathes
- Heat treating, chemical processing, welding
Experience in quoting new jobs and RFQs.
