We are a growing Aerospace manufacturer located in Southern California that is in the process of developing new rubber compounds for aerospace applications. If you have a passion for aerospace and chemistry this is the role for you!

Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize rubber compounds using a variety of materials to meet specific performance criteria.
  • Conduct various tests and evaluations on rubber materials to assess their physical and chemical properties.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure the effective implementation of rubber compounds in manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee the extrusion process and provide technical guidance to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to rubber materials and processes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the latest trends and advancements in rubber chemistry to foster innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the successful development and launch of new products.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or a related field. A Master's Degree or PhD will be highly regarded.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in rubber chemistry, including the development and optimization of rubber compounds and formulations.
  • Proficiency in the extrusion process and familiarity with related equipment.
  • Strong experience in mixing and formulating rubber materials.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to rubber materials and processes.
