Position: Registered Nurse - Contract/Travel - Operating Room *Up to $3,850/WK!*

Registered Nurse for a 13‑week contract in the operating room, located in or near Pasadena, California, with competitive pay up to $3,850 per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to prepare the OR for scheduled cases, including setup and sterilization procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, procedures performed, and post‑operative care using Cerner EMR system.
  • Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to changes during surgeries to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for all cases and compliance with safety standards.
  • Qualifications:
    • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
    • Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
    • Valid state nursing license.
    • Minimum of 2 years of recent operating room experience.
    • Flexibility with schedule, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a union environment, proficiency with Cerner EMR, and scrub proficiency for OR cases.
    Preferred

    • Previous travel experience preferred.
