Registered Nurse; RN

Job Description :
The Registered Nurse (RN) is to Provide professional standard outpatient nursing services. Follows instructions from Program Director and program design in order to implement individual patient care.

Duties and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include but are not limited to:

Prepares examination area including assembling of equipment, instruments, and materials required for treatment.

Pr ovides nursing services including medications and injections to patients as directed.

Reas sures and comforts clients who are apprehensive about pending examinations and treatments.

Oversees administration of injections, and medical process.

Pr ovides and serves as a resource to staff and clients; makes appropriate referrals.

Administers medications and treatments as prescribed through written procedures and program design. Responsible for own errors in the administration of medication and treatments; subject to established disciplinary measures in this regard.

Assists with medication management and training module.

Provides updates and assists director in meeting administrative program requirements relation to position.

Assists in the evaluation/competencies of clients.

Resp onsible for the compliance of standard nursing procedures.

Abil ity to relate appropriately to, communicate effectively with, and develop trusting relationships with diverse patient population and with staff.

Performs other duties as assigned and required.

Compensation: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour + $3,000.00 (paid in increments over the course of 12 months)

Schedule:

Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 8:00am to 4:00pm (32 hours per week)

Degree from an accredited or Board-approved nursing program.

C urrent, active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

Two (
2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) preferred.

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, behavioral health needs, or medically fragile individuals; 1 year preferred.

Satisfactorily pass a background fingerprinting clearance from DOJ/FBI Community Care Licensing/Dept. of Social Services (CDSS) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

Satisfactorily complete a physical & TB screening.
