Postdoctoral Researcher – Neutron Stars, Pulsars, and Fast Radio Bursts
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), managed by the California Institute of Technology, invites applications for a postdoctoral research position focused on studies of neutron stars, pulsars, and fast radio bursts.
The successful candidate will develop and carry out an innovative research program in one or more of the following areas: searching for pulsars in the Galactic Center, precision multi‑frequency timing of pulsars, applying pulsars to fundamental physics tests, and multi‑wavelength observations of fast radio bursts and magnetars. Projects may involve ground‑based instruments such as the Deep Space Network and the Green Bank Telescope, and space‑based instruments such as NICER and the Fermi Gamma‑ray Space Telescope.

Eligibility and requirements:
The position is open to U.S. Citizens, U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents (LPR), Foreign Nationals eligible for an Exchange Visitor J‑1 visa, and applicants for LPR, asylees, or refugees in the U.S. who have a valid EAD card and a pending I‑485 or I‑589 form. Applications from citizens of Designated Countries are not accepted unless they are Legal Permanent Residents of the United States.
