DescriptionThe NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly-talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA-affiliated research institute. These one- to three-year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA’s missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology.
The fellowship project focuses on galaxy formation and gravitational lensing, using observations from Hubble, Keck, and plans for the Webb and Roman Observatories. The project aims to publish insights and results and to develop tools and models for analyzing spatially resolved stellar populations and chemical signatures in distant galaxies. The work will support future observations with Roman, Rubin, and Euclid, and will involve collaboration within NASA’s vibrant environment at JPL.
