DescriptionThe NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly-talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA-affiliated research institute. These one- to three-year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA’s missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology. This postdoc opportunity involves conducting research related to understanding the impacts of climate crises across California's landscape and coastal environments, and translating insights into actionable information for management and decision purposes.
Preferred Qualifications- High familiarity with one or more programming languages
- Ability to work on large, complex, and diverse teams
- Commitment to societal impact and tangible benefits of science and research
- Experience or interest in using science to inform decision-making in natural resources management
