• Lead exploratory device research at the intersection of condensed matter physics, material science, and quantum information science to develop new devices, architectures, and experimental techniques.
• Design, fabricate, and operate integrated experimental platforms, including cryogenics, signal chain, and control stack software.
• Conduct rigorous, agile, and scientifically‑rigorous research to learn the potentials and limitations of emerging ideas.
• Disseminate findings internally and contribute to multi‑disciplinary projects exploring novel qubits, junctions, and measurement techniques.
• Provide recommendations to improve next‑generation quantum processors.

• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of quantitative field research experience.
• Proficiency in R, MATLAB, Python, or similar scripting language.
• A proven track record of original scientific contributions.

• Deep knowledge and experience in low temperature condensed matter physics (superconductivity, quantum phase transitions, phononics, Josephson junctions, TLS physics, quantum mechanical resonators, etc.).

Base pay ranges from $136,000 per year to $212,800 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and qualifications. Compensation includes equity, sign‑on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
