Individuals in this role are accountable for achieving assigned sales goals while providing an exceptional member experience. We are a not‑for‑profit, membership‑based organization that has served our Members for over a century, offering roadside assistance, award‑winning insurance products, free travel planning and new innovations.

Essential

Functions
  • Use sales techniques and strong product knowledge to identify customer‑specific needs, generate new sales, retain existing insureds, and grow the overall insurance book of business.
  • Effectively overcome objections to close the sale and/or retain the insured.
  • Work to meet or exceed targets as defined in the sales incentive plan and as assigned by the manager.
  • Conduct insurance reviews for clients to identify suitable products, using provided tools and underwriting guidelines to assess risk, recommend appropriate coverage, quote, bind and issue policies.
  • Establish rapport with the insured that enhances the member’s affinity to the AAA brand and results in greater member satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Proactively solicit and market at business or community events, perform outbound calling, use marketing lists, and cross‑sell/up‑sell new and existing customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests relating to insurance products and membership.
  • Research and resolve complex customer service issues, often assisting the insured in initiating the first notice of loss on claims.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong sales skills with a history of developing, tracking, following up on, and closing leads.
  • Advanced consultative selling techniques utilizing thorough product knowledge.
  • Knowledge of desktop systems, including Microsoft Office.
Education & Experience / Licenses & Certifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3‑5 years of relevant insurance industry work experience.
  • Active and unrestricted state‑issued license(s) required to place property and casualty insurance.
Compensation and Benefits

Commission‑based role on top of a guaranteed hourly base rate of $17.17 plus commission/bonus. Potential compensation range averages from $90,000 to $250,000.
