Chemist Position
As a Chemist, you will collaborate with platers to ensure the proper chemical additions are made to each plating bath. Your role will involve monitoring and maintaining tank and wastewater treatment parameters, aiding in troubleshooting bath chemistry issues, and maintaining an inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities- Ensure all plating bath parameters are monitored and maintained.
- Assist in troubleshooting bath chemistry.
- Maintain laboratory instruments and ensure they are in good working condition.
- Develop procedures for the analysis of different components in plating baths.
- Create and maintain logs and determine an appropriate schedule for routine analysis of plating baths.
- Perform routine analysis based on the schedule.
- Review, analyze, and approve results done by lab technicians.
- Experience in laboratory settings and plating processes.
- Proficiency in process improvement and troubleshooting.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with titration.
- Experience with Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) or Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES).
- Experience with Spectrophotometry.
The role involves working on the manufacturing floor and in the laboratory. This environment requires a focus on precision and attention to detail, ensuring all laboratory instruments and equipment are maintained in optimal working condition.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Pasadena, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
