Key ResponsibilitiesYou will work at the unit cell level to integrate and evaluate new fabrication process modules and device design changes for superconducting quantum processors. Responsibilities include designing and executing experiments to assess performance impacts, investigating unexpected results through rigorous analysis, leveraging electromagnetic and circuit‑level simulations to interpret findings, coordinating with production and cross‑functional teams on engineering lots, short‑loop experiments, and prototyping runs.
BasicQualifications
- Experience in patents or publications at top‑tier peer‑reviewed conferences or journals
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Master's degree or above in engineering, physics, or equivalent
- Familiarity with cryogenic systems and low‑temperature measurement environments
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience with superconducting quantum devices (resonators, transmons, or related circuits)
- Experience using Unix/Linux
- Experience in professional software development
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams
- Experience with flip‑chip or 3D integrated superconducting devices
- Familiarity with tantalum or other refractory metal‑based superconducting circuits
- Experience with loss characterization and SPR analysis in CPW or lumped element resonator geometries
- Knowledge of Josephson junction engineering including oxidation control, underjunction processing, and junction aging
- Experience with cat qubit or bosonic qubit architectures
- Track record of driving R&D from concept through hardware demonstration
