The Manager supports the strategic plan of the Hospital by providing leadership and direction to management and line staff within identified departments. The Manager oversees Security Operations for the main campus, surrounding properties and off‑site facilities, ensuring compliance with TJC, OSHA, AB508, Title 22, and HIPAA. The role supports operational goals aligned with the hospital's mission, vision, and values.

• Establish departmental vision, philosophy, objectives, and functions.
• Develop work standards and evaluate results.
• Ensure security meets all regulatory requirements.
• Lead security staff and provide leadership and direction.

• Education – High School Diploma or GED required;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience – Minimum 5 years relevant healthcare or similar facility security experience;
  Minimum 3 years leadership experience;
  Minimum 7 years healthcare or similar facility experience preferred; some law enforcement or military experience preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications – Current driver’s license issued by the State of California;
  Current CA Guard Card;
  Current Basic, Advanced, Supervisor and Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) certification issued by IAHSS;
  Preferred:
  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Skills – Healthcare Security & Safety Operations;
  Emergency Management, Crisis Response, Verbal De‑escalation & Use of Force Response;
  Regulatory Compliance, Risk Mitigation & Workplace Violence Prevention;
  Leadership, Professional Communication, Conflict Resolution & Cross‑Functional Collaboration;
  Physical Security Systems, Investigations & Critical Incident Management.

The estimated base rate for this position is $ - $. Additional individual compensation may be available through differentials, shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
