Job Summary
ACCO Engineered Systems Chiller Technician positions are dispatched through union locals. Candidates who wish to join the union for this role are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support/service to ACCO’s large-tonnage chiller accounts.
- Support the office with recommended repairs from delivery to completion.
- Participate in the “On Call” rotation per the local CBA “Overtime Service Calls.”
- Ensure completion of maintenance within the scheduled month and allotted time.
- Attend monthly Safety/Team meetings that inform Service Technicians on company policies, procedures, performance, and goals.
- Manage two-hour rule and communicate with Dispatcher and customers when approaching maximum troubleshooting time.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Follow up on all customer quotes.
- Work directly with the Chiller Field Supervisor on new and existing customer opportunities or issues.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the HVAC Supervisor or other appropriate administrator.
- Extensive HVAC large-tonnage field knowledge with a minimum of 3–5 years of service field experience.
- OEM experience or factory training is a plus.
- Ability to perform routine chiller preventive maintenance services.
- Strong background performing centrifugal chiller overhaul services.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting chiller control panels and routine mechanical and electrical issues.
- Extensive safety knowledge and training with a minimum of 5 years field experience.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills a plus.
- Ability to organize and plan daily responsibilities effectively.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

WagesThis position is for signatory employees, and wages will align with the current Collective Bargaining Agreements.
