Job Overview
Compensation - Pay Range: $18.04 - $25.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if eligible.
The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position also collects money on C.O.D. deliveries and picks up customer returns.
Responsibilities- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver parts and products.
- Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
- Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and secure; complete daily vehicle inspections before operating.
- Secure keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, devices, and collected monies at all times.
- Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips.
- Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
- Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day.
- Clock in/out according to company policy.
- Assist with customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, and other duties as assigned.
- Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
- Clean driving record meeting the company 14/18‑point system.
- Valid state driver’s license and compliance with company driving eligibility requirements.
- Familiarity with automotive parts is desired.
- Ability to operate light store equipment.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
