Pasadena Box Truck Driver - Production Assistant

Job Overview

Full‑time box truck driver position at the Pasadena Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) Warehouse. Pay: $26.00 per hour. Responsible for delivering and picking up items from our stores while supporting the ARC's mission.

• Follow daily routing directions and avoid going off route unless directed by the Transportation Supervisor or designee.
• Manage time to ensure each route is completed within the approved work schedule.
• Safely load and unload assigned truck and assist with other trucks as requested.
• Handle donated materials with safe handling procedures and required PPE.
• Train, instruct, and supervise truck helper, fostering professional habits within a rehabilitation program.
• Perform Bag & Tag as instructed by supervisor.
• Complete pre‑ and post‑checks daily; review any exceptions with Transportation Supervisor.
• Provide courteous customer service to donors and report any concerns to supervisor via dispatch.
• Report accidents involving truck, personal injury or property damage to immediate supervisor.
• Abide by DOT regulations, state and local laws, and maintain a safe driving record.
• Attend all required driver safety meetings.
• Report any safety procedure infractions to the Transportation Supervisor.
• Adhere to meal and rest break requirements per state law and company policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor, Director of Production, or designated representatives.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license (License

• Clean driving record.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate electronic equipment used for daily route information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
