Bakery Clerk Part Time

Job Summary

Part‑time bakery associate, up to 20 hours per week, early morning shift 5am‑1pm. Weekend work required. Responsible for proofing and baking unfinished bakery goods, unpacking and displaying items, maintaining cleanliness and safety, and supporting club policies.

• Proof and bake unfinished bakery goods following product handling information and using ovens or other equipment.
• Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts per production chart recommendations.
• Maintain cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department.
• Support application of club policies, procedures, and compliance.
• Ensure a safe, positive environment for members and coworkers.
• Follow and support GOLD member standards:
  Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate; fast, friendly, full, fresh, clean.
• Rotate and store bakery products in accordance with food safety and freshness policies.
• Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments; generate labels and price tickets; perform price checks.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, fixtures, display racks, and tables.
• Operate bakery equipment using proper work methods per safety policies.
• Maintain all club policies and perform additional duties as assigned, including working in other departments.
• Show up regularly; full attendance is essential.

• Experience working in a bakery or customer‑service oriented environment preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
• Minimum age 18 years.

• Work involves bending, pulling, reaching, pushing, and/or stooping.
• Frequent lifting up to 30 pounds; may require lifting heavier objects with assistance.
• Indoor environment with exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, coolers.
• Exposure to cleaning agents may occur.

Pay range: $17.25 - $20.70 per hour. Salary depends on location, experience, and qualifications.
