Warehouse Associate 1st Shift

Warehouse Associate – Full Time – Elkridge, MD

Ryder is hiring permanent Full‑Time Warehouse Associates to work in a safe supply chain environment with state‑of‑the‑art equipment.

Hourly pay: $20.00. Overtime pay: $30.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday 7:00 am‑5:00 pm or until finished. Overtime as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Minimum six months of related warehouse experience (one year preferred)
• Experience operating powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks). Certification required, intermediate skill level.
• May be required to operate manual/automated packaging line equipment (intermediate preferred)
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety and instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Proficiency with WMS computer system.
• Willingness to work overtime as assigned.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as a team member.
• High organization, multitasking, time‑management skills.
• Detail oriented and excellent follow‑up.

• Package, kit, and assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers; ensure accurate scanning.
• Assist new dock employees with procedures; secure facility at shift end.
• Investigate and resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
• Perform picking and packing duties in accordance with location policies.
• Execute material moves with required physical/logical transactions.
• Participate in team activities to improve operations.
• Maintain housekeeping for assigned area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
