Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Pasadena, Texas. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity, offering the chance to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices, expense reports, and payments.

Responsibilities:

- Process invoices from intake to posting, ensuring timely routing and approvals.

- Review and verify expense reports, reconciling month-end accruals as needed.

- Manage account coding and ensure accurate classification of financial transactions.

- Handle automated clearing house (ACH) payments and execute check runs with precision.

- Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions for audit purposes.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and inquiries related to payments.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all AP processes.

- Assist in preparing reports and summaries related to accounts payable activities.

- Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency.

- Provide timely responses to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with vendors. Requirements - At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of account coding and invoice processing.

- Proficiency in managing ACH payments and executing check runs.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Effective communication skills for collaborating with vendors and internal teams.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

- Commitment to maintaining accuracy and compliance in financial processes.
