Senior Accountant - Hybrid Schedule

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will have a solid background in accounting, preferably within the construction sector, and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial information and contributing to our financial goals. With expertise in Year End/Month End Close, monthly reporting, and GL, the candidate will be a key player in our financial operations.

Responsibilities

Oversee all daily accounting functions including ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Maintain and manage the general ledger.

Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

Prepare and submit monthly project cost reports and analyze variances.

Coordinate with the external auditors for the annual audit.

Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes.

Develop and implement effective accounting policies and processes.

Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.

Provide support to the financial department and team members as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA certification is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.

Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly in MS Excel.

Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.

Excellent understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.

Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.

Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.

Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to think strategically.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
