Newborn Care Specialist

TEMPORARY POSITION:
Awesome NCS Needed in Pasadena Mid April, 4 week contract.

First-time parents in Pasadena are seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) to support them beginning mid-April as they welcome their first baby. This is a short-term but high-impact opportunity for a skilled NCS who enjoys educating and guiding new parents while providing excellent newborn care. For the first five days after birth
, the family is requesting a daytime “Baby Boot Camp” to help them learn the ropes. Following that, the role will transition to overnight support 4 nights per week for the remainder of the contract.

• All standard newborn and overnight infant care
• Supporting the baby in establishing healthy sleep routines and a schedule
• Guiding first-time parents on newborn care including breastfeeding support, bathing, soothing techniques, and general newborn education
• Maintaining a calm, nurturing environment
• Open communication with parents

Mid-April

8:00am–5:00pm then transitioning to Overnights: 4 nights per week (every other night), 10:00pm–7:00am

$40–$50/hour (DOE)

• Extensive experience as a Newborn Care Specialist
• Excellent communication skills
• Up-to-date TDAP and MMR, plus annual flu shot
• Dog-friendly — the family has one 30-pound dog
