JOB TITLE:

CAD DRAFTER

LOCATION:

Houston, Texas

Remote (if located in Houston, office space would be available if desired)

Internship will be 6-8 weeks

This position is responsible for creating and editing CAD drawings for all projects.

• Develop 2D AutoCAD layouts, details, installation drawings, and bills of material based on engineering specifications.
• Develop 3D fabrication designs for custom project-specific fall safety equipment.
• Check the accuracy, technical content, and adherence to instructions and tolerances on all drawings and adequacy of design.
• Interpret project plans and quotes in order to ensure design requirements are met.
• Perform revisions of drawings and bills of material.
• Organize workload to meet competing and shifting project timelines.
• Familiarize with company products, company procedures, and industry standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Pursuing a degree in Drafting, Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience working with AutoCAD, Solid Works programs a plus.
• An open mind to design options and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and be open to constant change.
• Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually.
• Ability to recognize and distinguish color.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through both verbal and written communication lines.
