Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. is one of the largest privately & minority owned geotechnical firms in the Gulf Coast. Our offices are in Texas and Louisiana with a staff of over 300 engineers, scientists, technicians, geologists, hydro geologists, and associated laboratory and support personnel. We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our Southeast Beaumont TX and Geismar Louisiana Area offices. The successful candidate will provide engineering and consulting services for a wide variety of projects and clients primarily in the Energy Market Sector.

- B.S. in Civil Engineering (Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering or a related field of study, foreign equivalent accepted)
- M.S. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering is preferred
- 6–8 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record in both field and office-based work
- Demonstrated verbal communication, writing, and technical presentation skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills for keeping multiple tasks on track from concept through delivery
- Computer proficient (including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Pro). Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, slope stability and seepage analyses, and foundation design software is preferred
- Strong technical report writing
- Registered Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain one in 12 months
- Prepare technical proposals
- Execute geotechnical engineering project assignments
- Work with and provide mentorship of engineering support staff
- Manage and coordinate geotechnical field and laboratory assignments
- Perform engineering analyses and report preparation
- Maintain client expectations for project quality and schedule
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- PE License or Active EIT Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
