Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. is one of the largest privately & minority owned geotechnical firms in the Gulf Coast. Our offices are in Texas and Louisiana with a staff of over 300 engineers, scientists, technicians, geologists, hydro geologists, and associated laboratory and support personnel. We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our Southeast Beaumont TX and Geismar Louisiana Area offices. The successful candidate will provide engineering and consulting services for a wide variety of projects and clients primarily in the Energy Market Sector.

Our objective is to develop the candidate into a departmental management role.

Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering or a related field of study, foreign equivalent accepted)
  • M.S. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering is preferred
  • 6–8 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record in both field and office-based work
  • Demonstrated verbal communication, writing, and technical presentation skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills for keeping multiple tasks on track from concept through delivery
  • Computer proficient (including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Pro). Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, slope stability and seepage analyses, and foundation design software is preferred
  • Strong technical report writing
  • Registered Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain one in 12 months
Responsibilities
  • Prepare technical proposals
  • Execute geotechnical engineering project assignments
  • Work with and provide mentorship of engineering support staff
  • Manage and coordinate geotechnical field and laboratory assignments
  • Perform engineering analyses and report preparation
  • Maintain client expectations for project quality and schedule
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE License or Active EIT Certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
