Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Instrument Engineer performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

• Perform Sizing and Selection of Instrumentation based on client approved vendor list, process data, and knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Maintain interaction with vendors of instrumentation during engineering and procurement process.
• Instrument startup and troubleshooting experience a plus.
• Participate in on-site visits as needed.
• Develop and perform checks of Instrument Indexes based on Piping and Instrument Diagrams.

Requirements

The Instrument Engineer requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

• 10+ years of instrumentation experience including sizing and selection.
• Experience with ISA datasheets.
• Experience as lead/primary on 5+ instrumentation projects in Oil and Gas/ Chemical facilities.
• Previous experience working in-plant as Instrument Engineer is a plus.
• Experience with Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) is a plus.
