Role Overview

Electrical Production | Reliability Engineer located in Texas City, TX.

This role is aligned to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (“Diamond Infra”) and will be seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027. At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Company.

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions is an infrastructure‑focused company strategically located in the U.S. Gulf Coast. The company is comprised of roughly 2,700 employees and contractors that offer expertise and turn‑key services to more than 70 on‑site and off‑site customers across the U.S. Gulf Coast.

• Works closely with the operations team leveraging their problem‑solving skills and technical expertise.
• Elevates and applies knowledge of electrical substations and associated technology referencing historical data and consulting with the Technology Center or other subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Ensures Most Effective Technology (MET) is understood and utilized and that process automation is used as a tool to optimize plant performance.
• Responds to plant emergencies in a timely manner (in person as needed) on a rotating “on‑call” schedule.
• Utilizes defined MET and challenges or escalates MET application and assumptions when better solutions arise.
• Partners with experts to perform advanced troubleshooting and improve and document operating discipline.
• Diagnoses and documents root causes of asset utilization losses in the facility.
• Understands why specific procedure steps and precautions are needed and keeps a strong field presence to reinforce the importance.
• Conducts daily review of logbook and alarm history to better understand the plant operation and stay engaged with daily activities.
• Maintains, owns, and reviews daily Key Process Indicators (KPI)/trends to ensure optimum performance.
• Acts as a unit technical expert during unplanned events and drives implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Ensures compliance with plant operating permits and provides input to optimize the overall system.
• Develops and maintains, as requested, a model that identifies the unit operations, equipment, process, etc. that identifies the value of opportunities for improvement.
• Participates in plant health study and efforts to implement corrective action to maintain or improve plant health.
• Optimizes Predictive Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities on an ongoing basis to support overall productivity improvements.

• A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, or related experience).
• Ability to work comfortably and safely at elevated heights; trainees may be required to undergo training in safe equipment usage.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available.
