Planner / Scheduler

Work schedule:
Standard schedule Monday through Friday.
- Prepare Engineering, Procurement, and Construction schedules for each phase of a project from proposal through engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Understand fundamental engineering and construction work sequences and be able to adapt to project team and Client requirements.
- Review schedule information including logic ties and interfaces for accuracy.
- Perform schedule quality analysis using P6 and other software tools.
- Maintain earned value and forecast data in P6.
- Facilitate Interactive Planning Sessions.
- Consistently meet schedule issue deadlines.
- Work closely with Project Team to improve performance in project planning and execution.
- Perform schedule variance analysis and communicate schedule trends effectively.
- Develop and recommend solutions and mitigation plans through analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of project data.
- Proactively focus project team and management’s attention to areas of concern.
- Support internal training, workshops, and/or presentations to other departments or clients on our planning and scheduling work processes, tools, and systems.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of planning / scheduling experience in a capital projects environment.
- Prior working knowledge and planning experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software (5+ years).
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge and/or experience with Power BI.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, completeness and meeting deadlines and commitments is critical.
- Strong work ethic and analytical skills.
- Proactive and strong communication and collaboration skills.
Participate in routine visits to project sites and fabrication shops to audit progress. - Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
- Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects.
Most work time is spent in an office environment.
