INEOS Oxide, part of the global INEOS group, is a leading producer of specialty chemicals with a strong presence across five key value chains. We are expanding our manufacturing footprint and require a Senior Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement and capital project execution within our Bayport, USA, facility.

The Senior Process Engineer will lead strategic projects to enhance quality, capacity, yield, energy efficiency, and process safety. Responsibilities include process design, capital project support, and operational excellence initiatives from concept through startup.

• Maintain and control the safe and efficient operation of the production unit using established operating disciplines and procedures.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance, maintaining plant assets and protective systems integrity.
• Assist in defining and maintaining correct operating envelopes; investigate deviations outside of these envelopes.
• Participate in development of operating procedures and training materials.
• Lead Process Safety Management (PSM) and Environmental efforts, including Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Management of Change (MOC) processes, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Conduct Program Safety System Reviews (PSSRs) for MOCs and participate in PHAs as the process engineering representative.
• Investigate SHE incidents, collect and report near‑misses, and complete action items promptly.
• Apply the 20 Principles of Safety, conduct routine safety tours, and participate in audits.
• Develop systems to improve and sustain value in health, safety, environment, production rates, reliability, cost, and quality.
• Troubleshoot and problem‑solve advanced process problems.
• Develop recommendations to improve unit performance and manage Key Performance Indicators for plant performance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize operating units.
• Lead process design activities for capital and expense projects, including design packages, simulations, heat and material balances, equipment sizing, PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and contractor reviews.
• Collaborate with onsite and offsite functional groups to achieve results and balance daily operational priorities with long‑term strategic objectives.
• Coach and train junior engineers and other technical staff.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA  Process Safety Management and lead HAZOP analysis, PHA, and MOC activities.
