If you have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to further your career with GCEFCU, the wait is over! Our Real Estate Department is searching for a Real Estate Processor. The Real Estate Processor is responsible for assisting members with their loan applications, processing and making loan disbursements.
This position is located at the Mortgage and Insurance building, with a schedule of M-F 8:00 am-5:00 pm, but could vary as needed.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Complete setup of new loan files and order all required services for underwriting preparation. Typical services: title, insurance, verification of employment, appraisal, flood, fraud check, updated trade lines on credit report, survey, case numbers, certificate of eligibility on veterans loans, payoff, review power of attorney, etc.
- Assist in gathering required loan documentation from members; whether meeting with them face‑to‑face, pulling internal documents from our system or calling and discussing everything over the phone.
- Work with the Real Estate Department’s processing and closing pipelines by following up with other Real Estate Processors, Underwriters, Loan Officers, Title Companies, and other credit union partners and CUSO’s to ensure real estate closings are timely and compliant. May be responsible for processing credit union employee Real Estate loans.
- Alert loan officer and management with any issues that arise during the loan process.
- Achieve established milestone timelines for loan processing, including setup, initial underwriting, final underwriting, and closing. Coordinate closing logistics by confirming schedules with the title company and aligning appointments with members, in partnership with the loan officer.
- Stay up to date with ongoing regulations and changes in lending requirements. Attend webinars, live meetings, seminars, etc.
- Responsible for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all governmental regulations and Credit Union policies and guidelines. Responsible for complying with the Federal Rules and Regulations as required by NCUA.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
