Position:
Controller (Direct Hire; up to 130K, flexible based on experience)
Location:
Southeast Houston
- Plan, direct, and oversee accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and internal controls
- Oversee team including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Staff Accountant
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management to accounting personnel
- Maintain and continuously improve a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Implement and monitor internal controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk and ensure accuracy
- Oversee preparation and distribution of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Recommend financial benchmarks and key performance indicators to measure organizational performance
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts; analyze and report significant variances to management
- Develop and maintain a reliable cash flow projection process, including minimum cash thresholds to support operating needs
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation for annual audits; manage and complete audits efficiently and effectively
- Represent the organization in a professional and proud manner to employees, customers, industry partners, and the community
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and CPA a plus
- 8+ years of related accounting or financial management experience; comprehensive understanding of financial and operational business practices
- Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities; strong accounting and financial management expertise
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence others
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; AS400 or Navision
- Oil field equipment and/or distribution or manufacturing experience
