Patient Care Assistant II

** Job Summary and Responsibilities*
* Performs a variety of routine tasks to support the delivery of safe, effective, cost-efficient patient care as delegated by the RN. They provide assistance in transporting, transferring and lifting. They perform cleaning Functions in patient care unit as delegated, and perform selected diagnostic tests.

1. Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff

2. Monitors and records vital signs

3. Assists in providing personal hygiene and physical care needs

4. Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output

5. Obtains and records daily weight

** Job Requirements*

* * High School Diploma/GED

* Based on location assignment may also require BLS/ACLS/ and or PALS

* One (1) year direct patient care experience

** Where You'll Work*
* St. Luke's Health - Patients Medical Center provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown, and Clear Lake. The facility includes 53 medical/surgical beds, eight ICU beds and three endoscopy rooms, and offers a range of primary and specialized services-wound care, general surgery, gastroenterology, occupational health, heart and vascular, women's services, diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehab services, and sleep disorders.

* $17.28 - $24.41 /hour
