Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) support on-site in an educational environment near Pasadena, TX. This position runs from ASAP through May 21, 2027, supporting an increased headcount in local schools. Youll have a meaningful impact on students communication skills while collaborating with fellow professionals to create inclusive learning communities.
Your role will include working across multiple locations within the district, managing a caseload of approximately 60 students. Interviews for this position will be conducted with the Coordinator of Evaluations, providing insight into district needs and expectations. As part of your day-to-day, youll assess, diagnose, and implement individualized interventions for students, documenting progress and working closely with teachers and families alike.
Qualificationsand Desired
Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and travel to multiple school sites as needed
- Strong communication, time management, and collaborative skills
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and deliver targeted interventions for students
- Maintain thorough records in line with school and district policies
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Engage with parents, teachers, and administrators to foster student progress
