Company: INEOS Oxide – a global manufacturer of petrochemicals, specialty chemicals and oil products. The role is an HR Generalist responsible for implementing HR policies, programs and practices that support the growth and success of INEOS Oxide’s operations.
Purpose of the JobThe HR Generalist will help drive the success of the business through recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, employee development and community relations. Duties include communicating policies and procedures, recommending strategies and coaching employees, and partnering with site leadership to steer team performance.
Accountability 1:Safety, Health & Environmental
- Commit to learning, following, and practicing the INEOS 20 Principles of Process & Behavioral Safety.
- Assist in driving a culture of ownership and commitment to INEOS’ Life‑Saving rules.
Employee Relations
- Assist in ensuring timely and accurate processing of bi‑weekly payroll.
- Drive recruiting efforts for attraction and onboarding of high‑caliber talent.
- Advise and counsel leaders and employees to facilitate successful performance.
- Conduct investigations in a fair and equal manner.
- Support employees in the resolution of all benefits concerns.
- Assist in running the annual performance evaluation process.
- Facilitate annual salary/merit administration process for the site.
- Administer random drug testing program under the Substance Abuse Policy.
- Ensure all job descriptions are up to date and in compliance with ISO
9001:2015 standards. - Support the Wellness Program.
Leadership and Personnel
- Work with the Site Leadership Team for retention of key personnel.
- Ensure proper implementation of recruitment, compensation, benefits, and rewards initiatives.
Compensation and Employee Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and maintain special internal and external reports regarding salary, employee demographics, and FTEs.
- Prepare annual compensation survey analysis; provide salary proposals and recommendations.
- Work with the Accounting Manager to prepare the annual manpower budget.
Payroll Support
- Provide payroll support when needed, including processing bi‑weekly payroll.
- Provide related payroll reports to Finance and colleagues.
- Remain current on all processes and procedures related to payroll activities.
- Bachelor of Science in Business, Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred PHR and/or SHRM‑CP certification.
- Strong computer skills; exceptional Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Proficiency with PowerBI desirable; HRIS experience sought;
Workday and Success Factors‑Employee Central helpful. - Broad knowledge of employment statutes, including COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA and related regulations.
- Behavioral skills: comfortable interacting with employees at all levels; ability to lead change, influence outcomes, coach and consult; keen attention to detail; multitasking; ethical and personable team player.
- Sitting, repetitive use of hands, occasional walking or standing, and travel by car or airplane.
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs occasionally.
- Visual acuity and hearing requirements for reading documents and communicating.
