A long‑standing family‑owned independent agency, we are seeking an experienced Personal Lines Department Manager to lead our growing PL team. We are known for our educational approach, strong digital presence, and commitment to exceptional client service. This role is central to our next phase of growth.
Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and support Personal Lines Account Managers and CSRs
- Oversee daily workflow, task distribution, and service standards
- Manage renewals, endorsements, remarketing, and escalated client issues
- Improve processes, implement automation, and ensure workflow consistency
- Drive retention goals (target 92–95%) and support cross‑selling initiatives
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality control across the department
- Collaborate with agency leadership on strategy, reporting, and staffing
- 5+ years of Personal Lines insurance experience
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Active P&C license (MD or ability to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of PL coverage, underwriting, and carriers
- Experience with agency management systems (Applied Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills
