SummaryThe Pit-Crew Set-Up role supports all aspects of flexo press set-ups to minimize press downtime and maximize productivity. This position works closely with Press Operators, Prepress, and Production to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate machine make-ready.
Shift: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday Air Conditioned WarehouseEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all required tooling, plates, cylinders, materials, dies, and accessories are staged on the set-up cart prior to press make-ready.
- Mount printing plates as required per job specifications.
- Organize and maintain the kitting area to support efficient set-up preparation.
- Perform machine make-ready activities, including loading and removing print cylinders, materials, laminations, dies, scoring equipment, and related components in accordance with standard work procedures.
- Assist Press Operators with the set-up and adjustment of auxiliary equipment.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are returned to the designated preproduction areas after set-up completion.
- Assist in other departments or production areas as needed.
- Work collaboratively with Prepress and Production team members to support customer satisfaction, cost control, and on-time performance.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a printing environment is preferred.

Physical Conditions:
Works in a manufacturing environment and must wear required personal protective equipment. Frequently stands, walks, uses hands to handle materials, reaches, climbs, or balances, and may stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
