Senior Lab Technician

Position Description

The overall goal is to improve company/organization's manufacturing processes by using scientific methods. Responsibilities include building laboratory and/or pilot scale process units, operating and troubleshooting them, analyzing sample compositions, and recording observations and results.

• Build laboratory and/or pilot scale process units.
• Operate and troubleshoot process units.
• Analyze sample compositions.
• Record observations and results.

• Experienced in operating chemical units in lab, pilot, or production scale, or received training in a chemical process technology program.
• Process ability to assemble or modify lab/pilot scale process units using tubing and fittings, glassware, etc.
• Able to install and use instruments to measure temperature, pressure, flow rate, and level, etc.
• Able to install and use lab scale pumps, valves, pressure regulators, etc.
• Able to use analytical instruments such as GC, titrators, spectrometers, etc.
• Demonstrated high attention to detail and great record-keeping.
• Process good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting/root-cause analysis skills.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• An associate degree or a bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Monday - Friday: 6:30am - 3:00pm
