Summary
The Pump Mechanic will repair/fabricate a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, gear reducers and related rotating equipment. The duties include troubleshooting, disassembling, inspecting, and repairing rotating equipment such as centrifugal pumps (single and multi-stage), gear pumps, reciprocating pumps and metering pumps, gear reducers, blowers, mechanical seals, and other types of equipment.
Responsibilities- Receive, disassemble, inspect, repair, fabricate, paint, and package/prep API centrifugal pumps and other related rotating equipment.
- Safely load, unload, and move equipment as needed.
- 5 years of experience working in a pump repair facility with previous experience repairing API centrifugal pumps and related rotating equipment.
- Experience repairing IPM pumps, creating details, and making technical decisions.
- In-depth understanding of API 610 and other applicable standards.
- Ability to read pump sectional, machine drawings, and OEM pump manuals.
- Disassembly and inspection experience, ability to write detailed rotating equipment report for necessary repairs or replacements (e.g., assembly prep, assembly, pneumatic pressure testing, painting of finished repair and final inspection).
- Safely use hand, power, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of parts and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical seal drawings, remove, install, and pneumatically pressure test seals.
- Ability to work with multiple and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to achieve results with minimal supervision.
- Background check, physical, and drug test required.
- Physical demand:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Working conditions:
Must be able to work in a shop environment without AC and heat, with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise. - Training/
Certifications:
N/A. - Shift time/overtime: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm CDT, must be able to work OT hours as required.

High School Diploma or GED.
