Quality Inspector Weekend Day Shift Sunday Shift

Overview

Quality Inspector role with limited supervision in a climate controlled, collaborative environment that supports work-life balance.

• Under the direction of the Immediate Supervisor, perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections on a variety of parts.
• Read and interpret dimensional, manufacturing engineering, and process drawings to perform dimensional and surface checks of angles, holes, hole spacing, contours, tapers, bores, diameters, threads, radii, forms, bearing surfaces, and points of intersection.
• Utilize precision measuring devices including inside, outside, and depth micrometers, vernier calipers, electronic gauges, comparators, and hardness testers.
• Understand the basic programming and operation of programmable inspection instruments such as a coordinate measuring machine.
• Prepare inspected parts for shipment to other locations or outside service as required.
• Perform prescribed material conformance tests for material identification as required; instruct and assist other inspectors.
• May perform Nuclear-Aircraft-Government (NAG) inspections after fulfilling internal qualification requirements.
• Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Complete proper labor and time reports.

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/Technical certification preferred.
• Ability to understand and solve technical problems.
• Zeiss certification preferred.
• Must have a basic understanding of computer operation, medium to advanced mathematics, and SPC methodology.
• Minimum two years of previous inspection related experience or subordinate work experience required.
• Weekend day shift hours:
  Friday–Sunday 6am–6pm (12 hours shift).

Compensation: $21-$21
