Maintenance Millwright Technician

INEOS Oxide is recruiting a Maintenance Millwright Technician to support the safe, efficient and reliable operation of mechanical equipment in a petrochemical plant.

• Execute repair, maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on mechanical equipment according to plant procedures and schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement by recommending procedure enhancements and identifying root causes of equipment failures in collaboration with Reliability Specialists and Engineers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and backlog management for mechanical assets, ensuring schedule compliance.
• Support engineering project teams for installation, modification or relocation of mechanical equipment, verifying proper installation and parameter settings.
• Adhere to all safety, health and environmental regulations, supporting the INEOS 20 Principles and the Culture of Prevention.
• Conduct safety reviews for work scope, including hot work, confined space or temporary job plans when required.
• Utilize rigging, lifting devices, alignment tools and other equipment to remove, repair, refurbish and re‑install mechanical components.
• Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and incident investigations, documenting findings and recommendations.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a chemical, refinery or industrial environment.
• NCCER Millwright Certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with SAP plant maintenance modules and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, fans, gearboxes and seals.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, equipment manuals and drawings.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, communication, teamwork and problem‑solving.
• Self‑motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.

• Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs; frequent lifting up to 50 lbs; minor lifting continuously.
• Work inside and outside the plant, exposed to weather, temperature extremes (below 32°F or above 100°F) and noise that may require elevated vocal effort.
• Regular exposure to chemicals, fumes, dust, mists, gases and poor ventilation; use of respirator or gas mask required.
• Requirement to see written documents, computer screens and adjust focus.
• Capability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels and understand detailed oral communication.

• Achieve safety and environmental metrics and key performance indicators.
• Meet or exceed plant production and reliability goals through efficient equipment repairs.
• Maintain production department and personal metrics as defined in annual performance assessment.
• Achieve compliance with MOC/PSM, 20P and other plant procedures.
• Maintain effective schedule compliance and efficiency targets through quality repairs.
