Job SummaryThe Analyzer Technician is responsible for maintaining online analytical instrumentation through preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring equipment functionality and reliability. This includes performing routine checks, maintaining accurate calibration records in accordance with site quality procedures, troubleshooting and repairing issues that affect the proper functioning of analytical systems. The role works closely with Operations, IEA Specialist and Maintenance Supervisor to support production targets.
Responsibilitiesand Accountabilities
- SHE Support:
Adhere to all safety policies and standards, maintain safe and efficient operation of the Analyzer equipment using established operating disciplines and procedures, ensure safety and environmental compliance, maintain plant assets and protective systems integrity, investigate deviations and propose mitigation solutions, and complete training and action items from PHAs, incidents, audits, etc. - Manufacturing Excellence:
Support production targets by ensuring reliable equipment availability, lead efforts to identify and execute scope during Turn Around activities, troubleshoot equipment problems with Production Specialists, Maintenance, Reliability and Operations teams, provide support during upset conditions, start-ups and T/As, and support on-call schedule for weekends, evenings and holidays.

Education and Experience:
HS Diploma or GED;
Level 2 Instrumentation Degree preferred;
Instrumentation Technology, Enhanced Skills Certificate preferred. - Technical
Skills:
Keen computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and SAP PM; advanced knowledge of Gas Chromatographs, Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) analyzers, Total Organic Compound (TOC) analyzers, HACH analyzers; basic knowledge of PSM; proficiency using root cause failure analysis. - Behavioral
Skills:
Exceptional communication skills, oral and written; strong mechanical aptitude; safety role model; problem-solving skills with data analysis ability.
The role involves physical exertion such as moving objects up to 50 pounds occasionally or frequently, working inside and outside under various conditions including extreme heat or cold, noise, hazardous chemicals, and requiring protective gear such as respirators or gas masks. Protective environmental conditions are not guaranteed.
Key Performance Indicators- Achieve SHE metric targets for safety and environmental incidents.
- Meet or exceed plant production goals.
- Meet or exceed production reliability targets such as MT /MTBF.
- Complete assigned action items and lessons from PHA, incident, audit.
