JOB TITLE: Print Operator II - Large Format
STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Dir of Communication/Graphic Design Specialist
TERMS: 240 Duty Days
DEPARTMENT: Communication/Printing
PAY GRADE: NO6
Primary Purpose: Produce large format printing and finishing in accordance to scope provided on work orders in a precise manner and in the required time frame.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to communicate and interact well with others. Ability to learn quickly.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1.Large Format Printing on Arizona Flatbed Printer
2.Printing on various stocks and sizes of large format paper and material
3.Works well under tight deadlines
4.Daily & Weekly Maintenance on Flatbed printer
5.Using Finishing equipment to complete jobs
Finishing including but not limited to:
Die cut, kiss cut, perf cuts, grommeting, cutting to size, laminating, other duties as assigned for completion.
Equipment Maintenance and Cleaning:
Clean Arizona Flatbed Printer heads according to daily and weekly maintenance schedule. Colex maintenance blade and router tool maintenance. Canon Pro 4000 cleaning. Other duties as assigned.
Software:
Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Onyx Trivia, Colex Cut Center
WORKING CONDITIONS
Mental Demands: Ability to communicate effectively (verbal); maintain emotional control under stress; interpret policy and procedures; tight deadlines.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; steady phone interactions; moderate standing, walking, and bending; moderate lifting and carrying. Moderate lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., pushing and or reaching above shoulders, use of fingers and hands, standing (8 hrs. per day), repeated bending (intermittent), specific visual requirements (ability to do pre-press, press work and bindering work safely and efficiently.
Environmental Factors: Working indoors in area with constant excessive noise, limited exposure to fumes, electricity, machinery with rapidly moving parts and blades.
Severe deadlines and some extended hours.
