Pipefitter Helper - Austin Industrial; Pasadena, TX

This person will assist pipe fitters and pipe fabricators to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Other duties may be assigned.

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
• Cut or drill holes in walls to permit passage of pipes, using pneumatic drill.
• Select specific type and size of pipe.
• Mount pipe hangers and brackets to hold pipe.
• Assist Pipefitter to install valves, couplings, and other fittings.
• May disassemble and remove damage or worn pipe.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience – 6+ months experience in an industrial setting preferred.
