PRIMARY FUNCTIONThe Industrial Painter position supports the company, and client, in all fabrication painting needs. This position ensures that all painting needs are conducted in a safe, efficient, accurate, and timely manner. This role provides a great opportunity to learn and grow within the company.
PRIMARY DUTIES- Prepping fabricated metal components for painting
- Uses various tools and techniques to apply industrial paint on metal products
- Act as a liaison between painting department and other departments, to ensure expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment fabrication
- Trouble shoot all painting issues for the most efficient way to get the equipment to the customer
- Maintain professional and ethical business relationships with all customers and co-workers following the established company policies and procedures
- Produce all required documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
- Communicates with the team for ordering and stocking of needed parts, equipment, and supplies
- Communicates with team for coordinating delivery and pickup of parts, equipment, and supplies
- Foster good working relationships with clients and team members
- Be an ambassador for safety, making sure all work is done in the safest manner
- Continuous growth of knowledge for all Company products and inventory
- Assist with stocking all parts, equipment, and supplies
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management
- Must have a minimum of 2 years as an industrial painter working in a fabrication shop
- Must be knowledgeable of various industrial painting tools and techniques
- Must be able to multi-task and work on many different projects at one time
- Must be able to work independently, and in a team environment, to prioritize and accomplish assigned projects
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- Must be able to stand, sit, and kneel for long periods of time in all weather conditions, e.g.,hot and cold temperatures
- Must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs.
