Job Description Responsibilities- Safely produce a quality product according to customer work orders while operating up to two types of manual equipment, including router, bandsaw, pipe cover saw, curved segment saw, miter saw, and hullboard machine.
- Cross‑train on operation of a lamination machine and other equipment to ensure customers’ orders are correct and undamaged.
- Understand purchase orders, product descriptions, and manufacturing requirements, and determine the necessary machine settings.
- Set up or change over the machine for new jobs and perform machine adjustments such as blade changes, spray‑gun adjustments, and hand‑tool usage.
- Ensure the machine produces required dimensions and meets quality standards; minimize defects and report any quality or machine issues immediately to a supervisor.
- Perform Lock Out/Tag Out safety procedures and other required safety practices.
- Lift heavy objects either by hand or using power hoist and clean work areas, machines, and equipment with broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.
- Actively participate in periodic workplace safety learning sessions and perform daily housekeeping to keep the work area clean and organized.
- Complete all work efficiently and on time as instructed by the supervisor and perform any other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Valid driver’s license required if operating a company vehicle.
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing work environment; prior forklift experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven track record of good attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team.
