About the Role:
The Machinist 3 plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining advanced machining equipment to produce precision parts and components. This position requires a high level of technical expertise to interpret complex blueprints, set up machines, and ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards. The Machinist 3 will collaborate closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize production efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC and manual machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications.
- Strong knowledge of machining tools, materials, and measurement instruments.
- Ability to perform precise measurements and quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited machinist apprenticeship or technical training program.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Certification from a recognized machining or manufacturing organization (e.g., NIMS).
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as aerospace or automotive manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment to fabricate precision parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine machining requirements.
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to tolerances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, making adjustments to equipment and processes as necessary to maintain product quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machining processes and implement best practices.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and company policies.
- Document production activities, machine maintenance, and quality control results accurately and timely.
