As a Production Planner, you will drive master scheduling and production planning for industrial pump systems, rotating equipment, and precision assemblies. You will collaborate closely with line management to balance quality, inventory, cost, and delivery targets while satisfying critical customer demand. In this role, you will translate sales forecasts into actionable build schedules and keep manufacturing workflows running efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage core planning inputs including sales orders, original equipment manufacturer forecasts, custom pump builds, and strategic production schedules.
- Translate consolidated demand and sales forecasts into master production schedules using material requirements planning systems.
- Prepare and distribute weekly manufacturing schedules and work order dispatch lists across production assembly lines.
- Resolve schedule discrepancies, material shortages, order revisions, and shipping bottlenecks in coordination with plant management.
- Coordinate and execute routine physical inventory audits and cycle counts across the facility.
- Initiate and lead vendor corrective action procedures for non-conforming material receipts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, engineering, and quality teams to maintain on-time delivery metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on production planning, master scheduling, or material requirements planning experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Intermediate knowledge of pump systems and parts.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of industrial pumps, rotating equipment, or fluid handling systems.
- Solid understanding of material requirements planning logic, capacity planning, and shop-floor scheduling.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
