American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a seasonal overnight contract on the Stroke Unit requiring an active TX or compact license and at least one year of recent specialty experience.

• Work in the Stroke Unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population consists of individuals requiring stroke care and neurological monitoring
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00PM to 7:00AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• No local candidates accepted due to 50-mile radius rule
• Provide specialized nursing care to patients with neurological and stroke conditions
• Must be prepared to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment
• Certifications submitted must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in stroke, telemetry, or neurological specialty
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Documents required for consideration include a valid US Social Security Number and date of birth (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• At least one professional reference required unless otherwise specified
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
