Job Title:
Staffing Coordinator - LVN
Location:
Focused Care at Pasadena – Pasadena, TX 77707
Reports To:
Director of Nursing
The primary purpose of the Staffing Coordinator is to ensure appropriate staffing patterns for the facility utilizing the budgeted PPD.
Qualifications- Current LVN license
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents and other team members
- Ability to complete assignments while having constant interruptions
- Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Current CPR license
- Ability to be flexible and positive with intermittent interruptions
- Staffing for all nursing personnel (RN, LVN, CNAs)
- Review staffing routinely and adjust based on census; maintain budgeted staffing requirements
- Maintain attendance records, excused/unexcused absences for nursing personnel
- Track vacation requests and complete schedule 30 days in advance
- Track overtime, clock‑ins/outs
- Work the floor as needed
- Ensure resident safety
- Provide best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions of patients in the unit
- Make nursing assignments appropriate to skill level of employees
- Maintain acceptable standards of patient care
- Identify problems and guide personnel to solutions
- Create a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of personnel
- Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders
- Support and enforce infection‑control policies and procedures
- Maintain professional approach with confidentiality
- Cooperate and maintain good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments, and visitors
- Obtain and document nursing history from patient and/or significant other
- Perform basic patient assessment indicating adequate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Record vital signs, note changes, and pursue more‑specific investigation as needed
- Assess for and notify physician and other appropriate parties of changes in condition
- Consistently follow established standards, policies, and procedures in providing nursing care
- Accept accountability for clinical care of assigned patients, including supervision of nonprofessional personnel
- Respond appropriately in urgent and/or emergency situations
- Support standards of nursing care through adherence to existing policies and procedures
- Seek guidance when encountering nursing procedures and responsibilities not mastered
- Promote positive public relations with patients, residents, family members, and guests
- Use tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations
- Use appropriate workplace behavior and adhere to dress code at all times
- Utilize electronic medical record charting; point click care
Ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
Work ScheduleAs assigned, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays; non‑exempt position.
