The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care per the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage."

The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

What you will do in this role:

• Identify patient's functional problems based on symptoms and behavior changes.
• Identify the cognitive functioning, the mental status and the physiological condition and needs of the patient.
• Accurately document in patient's record a description of the nursing care provided.
• Administer medication in a safe, knowledgeable and accurate manner.
• Assist the physician with examinations, tests, and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
• Current CPI certification.
• Psychiatric Nursing certification is preferred.
• 1-year of clinical Psych experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting required
