Registered Nurse In The Emergency Department
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The unit has a total of 30 beds. Currently staffed with 49 full-time equivalents and additional staff as needed. Patient ratios will be 1-5, depending on acuity. The unit is equipped with advanced monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech and will transition to Expanse.
Candidates should possess adult and pediatric ED experience. Flexibility, accountability, responsibility, and teamwork are essential characteristics for this role. Floating to two free-standing emergency departments may be required. The dress code consists of royal blue scrubs and adherence to the dress code policy is expected. Weekend shifts will be scheduled on an alternate basis. Successful candidates will complete various procedures including thoracotomy and arterial lines as part of their responsibilities.
Professional development certifications aligned under the nursing contract are preferred.
