American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a hospital-wide case management role requiring 2 years of hospital case management experience and a TX or compact RN license.

• Hospital-wide case management coverage rather than a single specific unit
• Case Management and Social Work department with 22 total staff including case managers, social workers, and case management assistants
• Day shift coverage only, no night shift coverage on this unit
• Patient ratio of approximately 20-25 patients per RN case manager
• Uses Meditech/Meditech Expanse EMR
• Performs discharge planning and applies Inter Qual criteria to confirm patient status
• May float to any med-surg or ICU unit as needed
• No weekend requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital case management experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

• Responsibilities include discharge planning and utilization review using Inter Qual criteria
• Business casual attire required, no scrubs; a plain white lab coat may be worn if owned
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
